Our tradition

Noah's first Christmas treeEach year our family takes time to pause, gather round the Christmas tree, turn out all but the holiday lights, and listen, together, to this song:

So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear

- John Lennon

It is my favorite Christmas tradition, and the only one that really matters to me. To stop and take a moment and remember how blessed and fortunate and thankful we are for all the many good things in our lives: Good heath, amazing children, wonderfully loving families, supportive friends, jobs we enjoy, our comparative wealth, and the ability to share this time of peace in peace with those we love.

And to you, too, we wish health, peace, joy, and much love this holiday season!

Halloween photos

I just posted some photos from way back around Halloween time. Actually they come all the way up to just around Thanksgiving time. Yeah, we’re a bit slow here, but better late than never!

We’re just catching up, and we’ve got some more recent photos and videos coming soon, so watch this space!
